This miniature AC/DC Mains valve radio was made in 1954 (long & medium waves), and is housed in an attractive maroon bakelite cabinet. There was also a U198M model (also made in 1954), the difference being that the latter model had a two-tone cabinet colour (cream colour around the front only !). The wave-change switch is located around the back of the set, on a long "trigger" arm.
