Marconiphone 882
BACK
MARCONIPHONE
882 A.C Mains valve radio. This employs long, medium, and short wave bands.
It was released in June, 1939, at the same time as its HMV (model 1104)
equivalent. These receivers were equipped with pre-set tuning for five stations,
permeability tuning was used in the oscillator circuitry.
The
valve line-up :-X65, KTW61, DH63, KT61, & U50.
My
set is awaiting restoration - the dial cord requires restringing for a start.
The
MARCONIPHONE 882 is a fine example of a pre-WW2 radio receiver.
