I do not possess many Ferranti radios in my collection, they are quite difficult to
obtain. This AC Mains valve set was made in 1937, and has lw, mw & sw bands. By the mid 1950's, the company found it hard to be competitive in the radio market, and decided to quit it. They opted for manufacturing military hardware instead. EKCO bought out their radio name, and they themselves, were eventually taken over by PHILIPS. FERRANTI were one of the oldest established electrical companies in Great Britain.
