ALBA 461

ALBA 461. This radio was made in 1945, by A . J . Balcombe.  It looks older than it actually is. So, perhaps it was designed before World War 2( but issued afterwards, of course) ?
This set operates on A.C Mains, and employs long, medium, & short wavebands.
The valve line-up includes :- ECH35, EF39, EBC33, EL33, & AZ31.

I bought this set at a house clearance shop, recently. The set does actually work, as I have connected a temporary mains lead to it (as the original had been cut). The wax-paper condensers are very "sweaty" in appearance, and probably require replacing ! I will be restoring it later.
